About this deal

She disapproved of Holly (her best friend) having an affair with Simon (her boss) WHILE SHE DID THE SAME THING!

The only annoying part is where Daisy alias Paola complains so much about being a billionaire’s daughter, making it sound as such a weight to bear… Boohoo! we never really say good bye to the characters Paige has created that’s what I love most, their stories never end, we never know when or where we will see them again. He may be along for the ride, but left to his own device I very much doubt he would pursue her half as much as she pursued him.

It's really too bad -- underneath the way over-exaggerated "spunk" of the main character and the cliched meet cute, there were definitely some mindlessly enjoyable reading times to be had. Heroine was cheated on by her former Bf and she turns around and pursues (she is the aggressor) of Hero who is in a 10 yr committed relationship. Daisy, our protagonist, is and/or was heartbroken by a character in one of Paige Toon's previous books Johnny Be Good. Meg, the main character in Johnny Be Good dated Lucy's (the main character in Lucy In The Sky) stepbrother in the first book before going to LA; and took the job of Paulo, AKA Daisy, the main character in this book! I also liked all of the minor characters, the mechanics, Frederick, Holly’s boss, Simon, the team boss… I didn’t like Daisy’s mum and dad much, I found her dad too overbearing!Paige Toon grew up between England, Australia and America and has been writing books set in sun-drenched locations around the world since 2007.

Life can be snatched away from you in an instant, but if you don´t give yourself up to love, even with all the risks of losing it, life isn´t worth living. It is fair that it can be challenging to enjoy a book when the main character takes some really unethical behaviors while hoping for better results. It showed promise and after reading the prologue and the first chapter I was well and truly set on the notion that I was going to enjoy the book.

The beginning of this book was fun and made me laugh, and I didn't mind the fact that it was a prequel to The Longest Holiday but then the accident happened and boom, it got to be too much and boring. finally she got to say goodbye to the man that held part of her heart now able to move on from the past with the man that owns her heart completely, the man she is going to spend the rest of her life with. Daisy and him learning swear words in different languages, him embarrassing her in front of some important people, him standing up for her at an event, him trying to psyche out Will before a race. Its hard for Daisy, she doesn’t want to hurt the man she loves, Luis was in love with her when she was grieving over another man, his team mate, his rival, his friend.

THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR Escape to the summer and feel the warmth of Paige Toon's storytelling Daisy has been dumped, unceremoniously jilted. THE ONE WE FELL IN LOVE WITH was selected for the Zoella Book Club and Paige Toon’s novels have been published across the world. It was very long, and had the cadence almost resembling a tv show, in that it felt like many episodes over a two season run (honestly, it's a great premise for a prime time drama, someone needs to snatch this up). Daisy is completely unlikable, as for that matter is Holly who is also having an affair, but who I am also supposed to feel for because the wife of this man is a complete bitch. I was rooting for them as the made their way around the track wanting them to win switching between Will and Luis. I’m a huge Paige Toon fan and have all her books but being a working mum with 3 young kids I don’t always get time to sit and read which is why I love audible. Some of the book had me cracked out laugh but it wasn't enough to make me change my mind about the rating.
